Right now, Zaya is napping (and Praise the LORD! It looks like she's finally switched over to an afternoon nap!) and Eva is coloring.
Now is Mama's quiet time. I've read my Bible for today, Psalm 72, and am attempting to reflect on what I read... the psalm as a whole leaves me thinking about how redemptive God is. Solomon wrote this prayer for himself and his sons, and though the prayers weren't maybe answered like he'd hoped, God had a much bigger picture in mind and answered them through Jesus Christ. God redeemed that prayer. God has also redeemed me a few times today, already. Long story. Ask me in person for that one!
I'll work on my Bible study (Lies Women Believe) later tonight after the kiddos go to bed. Besides a brief time of leisure on the computer, this bit of my day is about to be consumed with dishes and bathroom scrubbing. Maybe even some hard-core sideboard dusting with the vacuum later - but that will be after nap time, and Zaya will likely take over. What a helper! Other than that, it's a calm day at our house, much needed, as I am on the mend from some weird belly bug. No details, don't worry. Finally on the up and up and ready for a relaxing day.
I love how the sun pours into our cool house on this crisp morning... I love how the dog roams the house searching for the cushiest spot. I had to open blinds in Zaya's room this morning that I never open to let the sun in and let him sleep in the sunbeam on the guest bed. ((The sun pours in that particular window so ferociously that I keep the blinds closed to avoid fading the comforter.)) Migo never gets to sleep on a bed, other than his own little box with a dog-bed I made for him, or his kennel. It's that kind of day.
And now, to make up for all the rambling, I present to you:
Zaya in a Pile of Pillows and Blankets ala Eva

A Story, by Eva
