She's been asking for a robe for a while now, and since we're broke, I decided to make it myself. I think it's way better than anything we could have bought at a store! Hopefully this hubris will not be my downfall. Maybe it will lead me to the income that's been eluding me ;D

YAY! GORGEOUS!! What's the fabric? I LOVE that you're sewing! The world is your oyster - however you can spin that to apply to sewing :)
ReplyDeleteJust adorable! The robe and the child! Is there anything better than a project that exceeds our expectations?
ReplyDeleteThanks Mom! Esp for the sewing lessons! It's remnant blue fleece that I had leftover from a baby blanket I made 3 years ago, and some remnant pink calico that I found for .37¢ a while back. The buttons were leftover from another project too! I used one of Eva's shirts to get an idea for the size, and prayed A LOT when I was making the button holes (ran out of bobbin thread in the middle of that! yikes!) But God helped me to put it all together! :D I was praying for skills like He gave to Bezalel in the making of the Tabernacle. I love how projects like that stretch me to the limit of my skill and lead me right to God, the master of all Creativity!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pamela! How did you find my blog?
